I found an amazing photo at Jolien-Rosanne
and I was falling in love with that immediately. I felt that I must draw that picture. Fortunately she gave me permission to draw it.
Thanks sooo much for this!!!
I finished it yesterday. Done by colored pencils, manly with Faber-Castell Polychromos and some Prismacolor on Stonehenge paper. The blue background on the top edges is watercolor. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed working on this piece, every detail of the original photo was so beautiful and graceful.
However, at the end I had some trouble with the fur because I used masking fluid on the edges at the watercolor part and at the second apply of the fluid damaged the paper a little bit. It's not noticeable but I know it's there and it's annoying.
Otherwise I'm very happy with the outcome.
Materials: Faber-Castell Polychromos and Prismacolor colored pencils
Paper: Stonehenge acid free paper
and some watercolor
Reference (with her permission): Jolien-Rosanne
EDIT: After I uploaded this drawing I noticed that the neck was a little bit off. I couldn't help it, I had to fix it.
Here is the result, I re-uploaded it. I think it's better in this way.
